New To This?

Embarking on a new build or significant renovation is likely the largest financial commitment you’ll ever make—it’s a major decision! Selecting an architect isn’t just about the final result; the right architect will also shape the entire process, guiding everything from initial concepts to the completed project. Since you’ll be working so closely together for many months, choosing the right professional is essential.

Who is MOA.studio?

MOA.studio is run by me, Matthew Oczkowski, a Melbourne architect registered in Victoria (ARBV 17816) and represents over a decade of dedication to residential architecture and a passion for creating positive impacts through design and higher building standards.

My frustration with the status quo in the building industry, where profit takes precedence over quality, fuels my drive for the work that I do. Too often, we witness the consequences of hastily constructed homes that fail to meet basic standards of construction and design. I firmly believe that we can do better.

Wondering what others think?

We employed Matt to reconceptualise our small, tired and leaky home. It was a full home renovation with a small extension and only the frame, most of the roof, brickwork and plaster remaining. Matt had terrific ideas for small spaces, sustainable design and function, and amazing aesthetics. We now feel like we live in a grand and luxurious home that is practical and efficient. I could not recommend Matt’s work more highly.
